Policy Summary
This page explains how weekly Pro Shop credit games, cash games, and year-long games are handled when weather interrupts play. The Committee may make exceptions if the course is closed by the Pro Shop or maintenance crew.
Pro Shop Credit Games
Includes: Weekly Payouts and CTP
No weekly payout
If at least 40% of players on the published tee sheet decide not to finish because of inclement weather, games involving Pro Shop credit will not be paid out for that week.
Those funds are added to the yearly prize pool for redistribution in future events.
Players who finish should still enter their scores in the online scoring system. Those scores still count toward the Men’s Club Handicap Index.
Cash Games
Includes: Weekly Skins and Member/Member Calcutta
No refunds
To avoid adverse selection, cash games are treated with a strict play-at-your-own-risk policy.
- If you enter the skins game or buy a Calcutta team and tee off, your money stays in the pot.
- This applies regardless of how many holes are completed.
- There are no refunds for skins or Calcutta money due to weather.
Year-long Games
Includes: Birdie Board and Hole-in-One Pots
Completed holes still count
Hole-by-hole scores count anytime a player tees it up on a Men’s Club date listed on the event calendar. Even if a player does not complete the round, any completed holes still count toward these year-long games.
Birdie Board reminder: it only counts if you are playing your own ball in the event.
Committee Discretion & Contact
