Ryder/Presidents Cup

This is the Last Event or the Year
Format:
• 2-day, Match Play (Day 1 – 2-Man Best Ball AND Day 2 – Individual)
• 2 days with 18 holes each day
• The field will be grouped into 2 teams (Red and Blue) based draft by team captains.
• Matchups will be selected by the team captains in advance of the tee times being announced each day.
Handicap Allowance:
• Each player’s Event Handicap will be based on the days event
• Handicaps will NOT adjust during the Event
Team Captains:
• Team Captains will be Chosen ( Volunteers ) each year.
Event Play:
• Day 1 – 2-Man Best Ball Match Play
• Handicap for day 1 will be 90% of each players Men’s Club Handicap. This is the recommendation of the World Golf Handicap System.
o Each player plays his own ball on every hole.
o Record each player’s gross (actual) score for each hole on the scorecard.
o The team’s best net score (of the 2 net scores) will be counted on each hole.
o Player’s net score for each hole will be determined by reducing his gross score by one stroke (two strokes when warranted) on any hole where a player’s Match Handicap is equal to, or higher than, the assigned course handicap for the hole.
o The team with the lowest net score wins the hole.
o Points will be awarded for the team with most holes won on the front nine, back nine, and total with ties awarding ½ points to each side.
• Day 2 – Individual Match Play1
• Handicap for day 2 will be 100% of your Men’s Club Handicap
o Each player plays his own ball on every hole.
o Record each player’s gross (actual) score for each hole on the scorecard.
o Player’s net score for each hole will be determined by reducing his gross score by one stroke (two strokes when warranted) on any hole where a player’s Match Handicap is equal to, or higher than, the assigned course handicap for the hole.
o The player with the lowest net score wins the hole.
o Points will be awarded for the player with most holes won on the front nine, back nine, and total with ties awarding ½ points to each side.
• The team (RED or BLUE) with the most points at the end of the 2-day event will be deemed the winner.
• Please see Appendix I for bad weather policy.
Payouts & Skins Game:
• ONLY the members of the winning team (RED or BLUE) will receive Pro Shop credit with each member of the winning team receiving the same Pro Shop credit (other arrangements may be made).
• Pro Shop credit amounts will be determined, and announced, in advance.
• Pro Shop credits are applied to player accounts by The Falls staff after payouts are announced to the Club.
• Daily Skins game is optional for this event and will be the same as the weekly skins games in open play (
80% of Men’s Club Course Handicap) Skins will be split between GOLD / BLUE tees and WHITE / GREEN tees with payout amounts determined by the total amount in the skins pot divided by the number of skins outstanding.

Weather Policy:
This is the Last Event of the year without make-up. Any cancellation of a day or the entire event will only occur when the staff from The Falls Golf course closes the course. If only one day can be completed all payouts will be based on that completed day. If a player decides to quit mid-round or not to play both days, he will only not be eligible for any Pro Shop credits but can when money in the daily Skins game.
Last chance to close out Birdie Board or Hole in One Pot if they are still in play. You will be awarded for the holes that you complete if the course closes.
